Bonton Farms T.E.A.C.H.E.S. Transformation

At Bonton Farms, transformation starts with connection — to the land, to learning, and to one another. The T.E.A.C.H.E.S Initiative, standing for Training, Education, Apprenticeship, Community, Health, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability, is designed to create life-changing pathways that help people in South Dallas learn new skills, find meaningful work, and build thriving, sustainable futures.

Through hands-on workforce development, urban farming education, and community health programs, T.E.A.C.H.E.S empowers individuals to transform their lives while strengthening the neighborhoods they call home.

Transportation

Reliable transportation connects people to jobs, healthcare, and opportunity. We’re working to improve community access and remove barriers that prevent residents from reaching the resources they deserve.

Access to Fair Credit

Our Financial Resource Center provides financial literacy training, credit repair, and second-chance banking to help unbanked families build stability and generational wealth. We serve up to 1,200 households annually, empowering residents to take control of their financial future.

Community

Community is at the heart of everything we do. From urban farming to social enterprises, Bonton Farms creates spaces where neighbors connect, work, and thrive together — building a culture of belonging and hope.

Health and Wellness

Our Bonton Wellness Center, built in partnership with Methodist Health System and Baylor Scott & White, offers primary care, screenings, vaccinations, and nutrition education.

Through Grocery Connect (with Kroger), we bring fresh, healthy food to community hubs and help residents access SNAP benefits and nutritional support.

Economic Stability

Our Seedtime to Harvest Apprenticeship Program provides a 12-month, trauma-informed workforce development experience. Apprentices receive financial coaching, counseling, and on-the-job training through our social enterprises. With a 90% graduation rate, we’re equipping people to build sustainable careers and brighter futures.

Safe & Affordable Housing

From emergency shelters to wealth-building homes, we’re creating a continuum of housing that meets residents where they are. Our developments — including Bonton Gardens and the Tiny House Village — are intentionally built near jobs, farms, and wellness centers, creating a walkable, supportive community for all.
