BONTON WELLNESS CENTER

Our newest hub of activity, the Wellness Center, hosts a partnership with Methodist Health to provide clinic services to our neighbors. We work with Baylor Scott and White on public health education and a collaborative network of 9 banks to offer complete teller services. This is our hub for community education initiatives, Grocery Connect deliveries, health services (including dental!), and so much more.

EXTENSION FARM

A few years ago, the owner of Collins Concrete heard about Bonton Farms and asked us what we could do with 40 acres as it turns out: a whole lot! From a high tunnel to shade-cloth garden beds, we grow by the cubic foot, using regenerative agriculture practices to produce high-nutrition food.

If you come out to volunteer, make sure to say hi to our chickens, hogs, goats, and guard donkeys as they strengthen the land while producing outstanding food for our neighbors and guests.

Bexar Street Resource Center

Construction has begun on the Bexar Street Resource Center, a space designed to support apprentices, Bontonpreneurs, local entrepreneurs building businesses rooted in the community, and the broader South Dallas community.

The second floor will feature classroom, office, and counseling space, serving as a new hub for the Apprentice Program. The first floor will include a private office for one-on-one community counseling and a conference room for public classes. Another section of the center will be a makerspace supporting our Bontonpreneurs and will also house a bike rental shop and a storefront for Grocery Connect, our food access initiative in partnership with Kroger to provide grocery delivery to the Bonton community.

This new facility will be home to the only private, one-on-one counseling rooms in South Dallas, a meeting space for apprentices, collocation space for other social services to meet with those needing assistance, bathrooms, office space, and bays for our Bontonpreneurs to sell their products and services.

The Bexar Street Resource Center isn’t just a building, it’s a bold investment in human potential, rooted in love, dignity, and the belief that when people thrive, communities flourish.
