Melissa Metoyer
Melissa Metoyer, MRC, serves as Senior Director of Health Equity & Community Impact at Bonton Farms, where she drives the organization’s vision to advance health, wealth, and opportunity through an integrated model of community wellness. A strategist and systems builder, she unites medical, dental, behavioral, and financial services under one roof to transform outcomes in historically marginalized communities.
Melissa oversees the Bonton Wellness Center, which houses the Financial Resource Center, Dental Clinic, and Community Health & Wellness Education programs- including a Teaching Kitchen that connects clinical care with practical nutrition education. She also leads The People’s Program, Bonton’s workforce and apprenticeship pipeline, ensuring that every program initiative within the center operates with excellence, accountability, and compassion to promote whole-person wellness and economic stability.
While Bonton Farms had already established a powerful natonal reputation for community transformation, Melissa has amplified its reach and rigor - embedding innovation, measurable outcomes, and operational systems that position the organization as a model for place-based health equity. Her leadership has elevated Bonton’s initiatives from impactful programs to replicable frameworks that influence regional strategy and attract national partnership. Known for her meticulous execution and unyielding sense of justice, she leads with both precision and empathy, ensuring that every system she builds not only drives results but restores dignity and belonging at scale.
Prior to joining Bonton Farms, Melissa spent two decades advancing equitable access to care across foundations, hospital systems, and private practice. She holds a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling from UT Southwestern Medical Center and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Pre-Medicine) from Xavier University of Louisiana. Recognized for her trauma-informed and culturally responsive leadership, Melissa is a sought-after advisor and speaker on health-equity innovation, systems integration, and the intersection of behavioral, financial, and physical well-being.
